I highly recommend this book to every System and Network Administrator. I'm a System Administrator, and between supporting end users, working on new projects, and just maintaining all the systems I administrate, it's hard to find the time to get everything done. It's one of Limoncelli's big points in Time Management for System Administrators. What's the problem with self-hosting? Limoncelli–I have reproduced it below, for those who don't want to click the link here. Limoncelli is an internationally recognized author, speaker, and system administrator. As a side note, Tom Limoncelli wrote a section in his book, Time Management for System Administrators, on automation. While self-hosting offers dedicated server resources and lots of flexibility, there are some downsides: System administrator time is expensive. It boils down some very good reasons to automate. Tooling doesn't really matter, the important part is being able to remember what the heck I did and when I did it.
